undercarriage cover
I have a 94 ls. The undercarriage cover is ripped and it keeps on falling off from one corner when I use alternative methods of fixing it back up. The new one costs around $200 at dealerships and also at online-places. I called TAP recycling and they don'tt have it.
I can't justify paying that much for this. Is there any place you know of that might carry it for cheaper or if ou know of anyone who has a parts vehicle where I can purchase this from?
Thanks.

I've replaced several of these covers over a 15 year period but never found a particularly good price on what is just a big piece of floppy plastic. Have you tried Lexus-parts.com? They usually give a bit of a discount.
The covers on my cars have been trashed by mechanics both at Lexus dealers and independent repair shops - I think the main problem is that mechanics remove only a few bolts and bend the cover down so they can change the oil filter or something else. My "favorite" story is when I arrived home from the Lexus dealer and found the cover dragging on the ground - held on only by a couple of the front bolts.
It may sound like overkill, but I now always remove the cover before taking my LS in for service.

Yup, that's how it all gets started where they bend it and also don't put all teh screws back. I've already paid $15 couple of times to a nearby gas station mechanic to put the hanging piece back somehow, but now i want to resolve this issue altogether.
I haven't tried lexus-parts. I'll call them now.
