LS400 Mileage #'s
I just recently purchased a 97 LS400 with around 140k. This is my first Lexus and I was wondering what kind of overall mileage can you expect to get out of these cars before you start having major mechanical issues? I know it all depends on how you take care of your vehicle but I was just wondering what's the most miles anyone has heard these cars get up too and are still rolling?

I while back I posted an article from Lexus magazine which was about a guy with 550,000+ miles on his 90 LS. Basically, an LS will go a very long time with proper maintenance

Boy i tell ya, i bought mine with 160k miles on it...right now i have 213k miles and it is still going. The only problems i have had with the car is the starter died on me but gave me warnings. The other thing is the driver side upper tied rods got replaced cuz i just kept running into pot holes. Power stiring pump needs replacing atleast that don't cost an arm and a leg....haven't replaced it yet though, just doing it the old fashing way buy adding fluid to every few weeks. Apart from the starter, i don't think you have much to worry about .

Your car is still a baby with that mileage.
It's just breaking in and has 90% of life left.
