Default Squeaky Armrest

The armrests on both my drivers and passenger doors squeak when putting pressure on them. This is particularly annoying to me since I tend to rest my left arm on the armrest fairly frequently when driving. My Lexus dealer says that this is typical and cannot be corrected because of the construction of the door panel and armrest.

Has anyone else out there had the same problem and if so, was it corrected?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Hard to imagine this is typical and can't be corrected. Are you in the Atlanta area? I heard that Hennesy Lexus in Gwinette has better service. Have you tried to get their opinion?

Had squeaky driver side window sill, in for service, this item on my list. No argument, they removed door panel to get to problem, fixed by adding copius quanties of small thin styrofoam [i think] patches. Patches applied to all surfaces [a lot] where panel touched interior door skin.
Happily they also fixed brake 'click' I mentioned on this site weeks ago [ after 'they all do it']
Good luck and keep trying.
My dealer....Scanlon Lexus of Ft. Myers.....my impression is they think most people will just ignore the problem
and they [the customer] will just let it be. My background is engineering, I'm retired, love cars, especially this
one, best I've ever had, including Ferrari, Imp SS, Acura, Pantera, Mercedes and others. But I'm like a pit
bull when it comes to getting a car fixed as it should be, plus I have the time ;-)

Thanks for the responses. I'm in Atlanta and use Nalley Lexus. They've been great to work with and, based on my experience with them, haven't tried to fix any problem and make me happy. Hennesey is rather inconvenient based on where I live and where I work.

I appreciate the input.
