I tinted headlights/corner lights on 90 LS
Very happy with outcome. No sanding- used Tester's spray window tint black ($4.29) Ended up doing all front end lights- will do the back tomorrow. Thought you'd like to see pics. This is before tinting....

This is after tinting. All lights come out with a few screws and 10mm bolts...took the headlight assembly out to paint. No masking needed.

night shades
My headlights were too bright. I don't like how night shades looks. Bumpy and dull. The window tint spray still allows the natural glitter look to shine through. Here is the back of the car now. I did the taillights today- so subtle you can't tell unless parked next to another LS. I'm very happy with the look now and no longer covet the red/clear JDM lights.

FYI
FYI. I did not sand the lights but wiped with Goof Off. This is the stuff that wipes away enamel and paint. With a good wiping the tint sprays on smooth and glossy and dries about 5 minutes....takes hours to cure after that. Just don't touch it for a day. I tried one taillight without wiping down first and it orange peeled right away- used Goof Off to take it all off..was very easy, that stuff is awesome. Then resprayed and worked perfectly. All of my lights look like they're brand new. The level of tint I got was from three passes with the window tint, spaced about 5 minutes apart. Small can ($4.29) bought at a hobby shop. Tester's Spray Tint gloss black.

wouldn't this affect the output of the headlights at night time ?
I would imagine it would somehow diminish the lights given we're painting the lens black... any ideas ?
