Default Just picked up my 08 L

Its a 2008 L with 36000 miles

Pretty amazing car in terms of performance and the entire driving experience

Compared to my 430 it has almost no body roll, is much more powerful and on the highway seems to literally eat up the road, really fun to drive and I feel very confident taking corners with it.

I do notice a little bit of wind noise from the drivers side window which ill try to address

Out of curiosity, what would you say this car is roughly worth ?

Im going to detail it and ill post some more photos soon

Thanks

Kelly Blue Book shows a value of $24K for this car, which seems about right. You should be able to easily address the wind noise using the fix explained in detail on this forum. Congrats on finding this low-mileage limo! Do you care to share the details of your deal? Bought from a dealer or private party? Price?

Well done!

That car is effectively new. Even mine, which has 95K on it as of yesterday, likely feels/drives like the day it left the dealer's lot.

Given this car's size/mass, performance is OUTSTANDING!!!!

Honestly, I never thought we'd ever get to the point a 4,400 lb., LWB, luxury sedan would ever 0-60 in under six seconds. It wasn't long ago when this was borderline supercar territory.

And I'm not that old, either...48. I do have 36 years of Car and Driver, however. :-)

What truly puzzles me is how Toyota managed to make a car this large, powerful, and comfy get 24 MPG for an in-town (albeit Fort Worth, not NYC or LA) commute.

This blows my mind.

Gratz on a beauty. Happy to see you are pleased with the car after moving over from the 430. Many of us have done the same, including myself, and are very happy with the decision. Just hope you have the same smile on your face every time you press start.

Enjoy.

You're not new to this forum, so I know you are familiar with this site and your new acquisition. Congrats on your new ride!

What did you do with the 430?

Hey, huge congrats! I know how long you've been going back and forth about the purchase and waiting for "the right one/time", so, along with everyone else, im very happy and excited for you.
What a car it is to drive and enjoy!
As Chris stated, you know the routine (or, you should)...spill the beans (and photos)!

Congratulations. I wish my LS had such low millage.

Did you buy it in Toronto area? I bought my 2011 in Toronto this May. They use liquid salt in Toronto in winters. I checked 6 of 2010-2011 models at that time and all of them have some rust outside and under the hood.

In terms of value, I think LS in Canada worth less than in US. Not many people want LS in Canada. Last year, 123 LS sold in Canada. US has roughly 10 time the population, but 60 times more LS sold in US(7165)
