^^ THIS!

I bought my '07 with 160k in great condition. Paid 14k for it, and the car runs like a dream. I did some suspension work on it around 180k, and I don't see why this wouldn't get me to 250k without issues.

You're one of the few on the board to have a higher mileage LS460, congrats..at the rate I drive I'll be joining you soon enough. So far the car has been great.

I just traded in my 08 GS350, 87k miles for $14,000! (could have sold privately for $17k probably?)
If that's the kind of hit the LS takes then I probably just made a real dumb move buying a '15 LS460 F Sport with 10k miles for $69,800!
yeah i been able to find them around that price everywere.

I have an 07 with 123,000 miles on it, I'd be lucky to get 14k for it in my area. I think these cars are an absolute steal on the used car maker right now..they look good...they've been well cared for...people that own them are older and don't beat on them...and they're pretty reliable. Plus the technology was so advanced at the time that they're still pretty current with today's technology...maybe even more so.

I wouldn't hesitate getting into a 150k+ mile LS460, knowing how over-engineered they are. Yes control arms and brake actuators may fail, but there are a lot of alternatives to get those resolved. Pick one up for ~$15k, mentally set aside $2k for repairs/flushes/maintenance and you should be good for another 100k miles. You can't say that about many vehicles, much less luxury vehicles...

On a related note, I found a 04 LS430 Ultra Luxury with 175k miles for $12k at a Ford lot a couple of months back...the sales guy didn't know why a car with almost 200k miles would still be that expensive. But the car was sold about 2 weeks later to show that the market absolutely exists and these cars hold their own!

I find this to be brilliant! Wished I listened to it. Found a 59,000 mile 2007 Ls460. 20,000 miles later, replaced/replacing starter, control arms, struts, brake fluid flush, rotors. In 20,000 more miles I’ll change the spark plugs, maybe have to change the radiator and water pump. I did get a great deal at $14,200 so I’m not complaining. I love my car! But coming from a Camry, it was a little shock but oh so worth it!

my two cents.

be more patient, more selective with a highly serviced one in the 60-90 k range of mileage.

your on point with South Florida its the best market to pick one up
I picked mine up for 16,900 with 68k a year ago

be patient and other advice don't buy a 2007-09 there great cars
but a 10 and above you will thank me later.

phenomenal machine, took it on a 400 mile road trip for first time other night. comfortable, great cruiser, amazing power, serene, sunroof is even designed in perfect position for viewing. 400 miles 80% highway 27.1 mpg
one of the most underrated vehicles on the used car market..

OHHHH if you pick a 2011-12 up you should be able to buy a warranty for 0% interest for 18 months. I bought 4 years 48k and with control arms and some ancillary stuff almost paid for itself.
good luck

What warranty did you buy and from whom? What year is your car?
