Custom Tag Plate
For anyone who has to display a tag on the rear of their vehicle and can't a good way to place I decided to make my own. Here in Hawaii we are required to have a "Safety Check" completed annually where they look infractions like, no ins, illegal tint, blue lights/bulbs etc. Even though my tag didn't expire for 9 months I wanted it moved so I went in for a new now after the bracket was made. I used 1/4" Plexiglas to create a full plate that was slightly oversized so I could quarter round it to look clean. After rounding the edges I sanded and buffed it to a gloss black. I think it came out pretty good.
Original oversized stainless plate on the lower edge of bumper (at least the dealer didn't stick it on the bumper!)

#1. It's stupid to place the plate under the rear bumper. I have to believe many cars end up having them mutilated or ripped off from going up steep driveways.
#2. Start manufacturing your solution. You could make a small fortune with those in Hawaii.
