Anybody have any experience with clear bra?
Thinking of getting it on the new car but wanted some honest feedback. After all the rock chips my 2007 took on the front bumper and hood I'm trying to do what iI can to protect the car.
Thanks.

Yes, they work!! Lexus sells a rear bumper protector that sticks to the top of the rear bumper for protection..... This is a must have protector that works. Clear bras come in different grades and I suggest buying the best..... Do it right the first time.
TIP!!!! Go to a Tint Shop or speciality shop that does clear protection to have this done....... Do NOT attempt doing this yourself with a DIY kit.

I have a full hood/fenders SunTek kit on my LS and love it. Cost about $1,400 installed.
I don't know that I would put it on an older car that already has rock chip damage though.

Had it on mine and couldn't wait to take it off. I prefer to deal with the marks and blemishes old skool, by polishing etc, than having the plastic bubbling and pitting where rocks have made they're mark. People always commented on why it looked like the front edge of my hood etc, didn't quite shine like the rest of the car. Plus that seam where the film ends was an eyesore - always catching wax and making the seam more noticeable.
No regrets getting rid of it.

The new car bra materials are much better. You cannot tell that anything is applied to the front of my car at all, and the new films are self healing. If you get a full hood and fenders like mine you don't have the line.

I agree with Mr. Frog on the older bras that looked bad (holograms/wax lines/blast patterns/bug guts) and they could be spotted at 50 feet but with new modern materials you have to get up close to spot them.
I am a firm believer in keeping your car detailed with a quality wax and keep up the maintenance on chip repair. Chip repair kits work great but it takes time and patience however "IF" you don't want to do the chip repair yourself call a chip repair guy once a year and have them do it for you.
If you drive highways every day a clear bra may be worth investing in for preventing "front end rash" but they don't do a thing for a deer hit.

At the time back in 2007, I didn't want a clear bra because I didn't like to see that line across the hood. By the time I bought my 612, I learned that you could cover the whole hood, the whole quarter panels, and that basically it was all invisible unless you really looked real closely.
Had I known that in 2007, I would have definitely had my LS covered. In my opinion, Xpel Ultimate is an excellent product.
