Found one this morning. 2010 white/parchment, 54k miles, certified, no ML for $31,600. Per sales guy, previous owner was a 78yr old couple.

Sounds like a good price. You gonna drive it from FL to MN? It's a great road trip car.

Best of luck with your new-to-you car, OP! There will always be something less expensive with more features that you might stumble on eventually, but all that matters is that you found a car that you liked and that to you was reasonably priced. Enjoy!

At the end of the day it's your money and your call. I agree with the others, you want the ML system.

Is there a huge diff between ML & non-ML systems? I had 2007 with ML, so I know what ML sounds like.

I've only listened to the ML system, but if you search on this forum, you'll find most people think the ML system is far better than the "premium" sound system. Most independent reviews rank the ML system at or near the type of high-end car audio systems compared with other brands.

IMO you'll have a better re-sale value if your car is equipped with the ML system, even if all you do is listen to talk radio.

Finally, consider that, like other aspects of a quality used car, you are getting a $5K option for considerably less than $5K. How much less depends on where you are at on the depreciation curve. IMO, options tend to depreciate much faster than the rest of the vehicle.

As a matter of fact, I do listen to ESPN radio 70% of the time (morning drive to work). I've decided to walk away on NON ML LS460 and will wait for a more loaded LS460 to come by. My recently sold 07 RWD had ML and best car audio system I've listened to.
