Snow Tires
Recently sold a ES330 but kept the original 17" rims. Just bought a 07 LS. Can I mount snow tires on the 17" rims and install them on the LS. The original tires on the LS are 18"

A quick search shows an '05 ES330 to have a 5x114.3 bolt pattern and the LS is 5x120. Those wheel's won't fit on the car, nor would I think that they would clear the brakes.

I was wondering about 17" wheels and snow tires also. I'm afraid there is just not enough room for 17" wheels. The bottom of the front calipers only have about 1/2" of clearance to the factory 18" wheels. The real tight spot is between the rear wheels and the lower trailing control arm where it attaches to the spindle, clearance here is only 3/8"
If I decide to drive this car in the winter (which is still up in the air) I will probably go with Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 with a set of factory take offs. I think they make a 225/55r18 that is very close to the original diameter but a bit less wide which is desirable in a winter tire.
