Default Audio jack

Anyone else deal with a lot of static noise when using your audio jack? I try to listen to iTunes through that jack and it sounds like crap. Now it doesn't work at all. Should I be looking for a loose connection somewhere? Perhaps under where the input is?

I assume you're speaking of the aux port, right? If so, a tried using mine (plugged into my phone to play Pandora), and the sound quality was absolutely horrible. It was only when I told my wife how bad I thought it sounded and she asked me if the volume on my phone was turned up then adjusted the car volume accordingly... I went to the garage and tried it again with my phone volume up and it was a world of difference. Now, I regards to static, when I initially plug the cord into y phone, I do hear static via the car speakers, but only upon initial plug in. After that it's fine.
My apologies for not being more of a help with the port not working at all. Maybe a fuse??

Yup, I'm talking about the auxiliary port...mine seems to have stopped working entirely now.

I get more static when my device is charging. Not really any when it's not.

There is TSB in which they install a line filter to stop noise from the aux jack. I had it installed in my 07 LS460 and it worked. Cost about $150 to buy and Dealer installed for about $80. You might be able install yourself.

I bought the filter at Sewell parts on-line and installed myself. Part was pretty inexpensive and installation was easy.
