What you guys think about this?

A friend of mine who owns a tint shop is trying to talk me into applying it to my car. I had 3M applied on the front of my 2008 xB when I was working in Minnesota and it faded with time and I could see the lines.
He said this new stuff from Suntek is great.

That product might be good, but I've never heard of anyone using it. Personally Xpel Ultimate is the only one I would use.

My friend said he just installed it on a White McLaren and you couldn't see it was on the front.
I've been researching it and a lot of people chose it over Xpel Ultimate. I saw where a guy in Miami FL has applied it to a lot of high end cars with all being happy with it.
My friend said he would sell me the film at his cost plus a great deal on the labor cost. It's tempting. lol I'm probably going to go for it, I can always take it off with a heat gun. .

If you do do it take it to the whole panel, I have seen some that only do a section, when the car gets dirty there is a straight line where it ends. Not to mention the clarity of paint vs. the dullness of the film. JMO

I had a clear bra on my old TL. I honestly didn't see the need to spend so much money on it. I didn't really see too much of a difference from when I had it on and didn't. Downside was a month after I got it, I got into a fender bender and the insurance would not cover replacement on it.

We install both Suntek and Xpel Ultimate. Suntek is smoother than Xpel and the self healing capabilities are better INHO... but both films are excellent. Weve been installing both films now for a couple of years without any warranty issues and the films have held up exceptionally well.
Grouchy I do insurance work all the time. Your insurance company pulled one over on you as they will replace the full value of the clear bra. I have yet to see an insurance company deny a claim. And as far as the value of the product it will keep the vehicle in great condition. So your resale/trade in value will be much greater... not to mention if you keep the vehicle any length of time you wont have to worry about looking at damaged paint or headlights that have oxidized.
