Lights not turning off
I have an 08 LS460 and set my lights to auto.
I have noticed recently, two times I have turned the car off and the lights stay on.
One time was in the garage and I never lock the doors while parking it in my garage.
They were on for 15 mins after I turned off the car.
Suggestions?

Your door sensor may be sticking. When you shut off the car, and the light switch is in auto mode, it must sense that the drivers door has been opened and then closed to start the automatic off timer. Make sure when you are exiting the vehicle, that the dome light comes on and the info display says that a door has been opened.

The curtesy light switch on the driver door was Intermitant. The passenger side was also Intermitant but not as bad. Both were replaced and now my lights turn off every time in auto mode.

If you are experiencing, or have experenced in the past, a problem with your lights not going off that is related to the door switch, please enter a complaint at the NHTSA site: http://www.safercar.gov/
To enter a complaint, click on "Vehicle Owners" in the selection bar at the top and then select "File a Complaint" along the left side. The defective switch impacts several of the car's safety features and your report may save someones life.
