Default Anyone notice fast second to third upshifts when cold?

Anyone notice fast first to second gear, second to third gear on their LS when car is cold? Its like a fast speedshift. Only happens once or twice then never again after that. This normal or something to have checked out?

Thanks.

According to my dealer, it's normal.

Just curious, but since the car I own is the only one I've driven, and I bought it used, can anyone tell me what the normal "shifts" of this car feel like under an aggressive throttle? Most automatics I've driven, if you are at very low speed and hammer down on the throttle, you get a great kick down and acceleration that drives the rpm's up. Is it normal for this car that if you nail it from say 5mph to 35mph and then let out of the throttle, that the car coasts and keeps the rpms up there and seems to take a while to "unload" back to normal rpm? I'm just wondering if my car is responding correctly. I know that it's a heavy beast of a car, but this seems unusual to other vehicles I've owned.

Mine are usually a tiny bit harsh when I just start the car and take off. Haven't noticed a quick shift from 2nd to 3rd, but its probably ECU/ transmission control module shifting early to not damage the engine or tranny when cold. These cars are a lot smarter than you may think
