Default Lower B Pillars

I found a new set of lower B pillars on ebay all OEM for 140 each. My drivers side had the original design that was prone to abuse. You can see in the old/new photos the difference in design and the wear.

I know some of you have mentioned this before but i was tired of looking at the bold spot. The passengers side is not as bad just scraps and knicks.

Took all 10mins to replace per side. I was trying to be gentle on the door sills to avoid breaking the pins that snap in to the frame.

The first picture look like the damage was done by the seat belt buckle. I have some wear caused by mines.

I think so too. If you just let the belt fly it would hit that area alot. Now i bought the LS in this shape and unless you go looking for the damage you never see it because of the location.

I definitely let the belt "fly" too. But nothing like that on my pillars. Good thing too, cuz they're black and would be an eyesore for me.

Anyone know if these are the same part numbers between the SWB and LWB? Would like to replace mine as well if I can find them.

62413-50100-C0 Lower right side

62414-50110-C0 Lower left side.

These are for the black color ones. And are the same for 460/600 LS SWB or LWB.

List for $275.00. So shop around.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/att...rnish-wear.pdf has the 4 various part numbers depending on the color.

62414-50110-B0
62413-50100-B0

Are the ones for Light Grey, which is what I've got. Can't seem to find anyone in the US that has 'em for even close to $140. If any of ya'll run across 'em, I'm interested!

Another option may be to find a good leather upholstery shop near you. Think it could either be patched or pulled off and redone. Might be less than buying a new one. I found mine by luck.

TSB L-SB-0018-08 addressed this B-pillar problem. I was able to have mine replaced before the warranty expired.

I didn't realize this was a common issue but I did find it odd why a few 460s (2007-2011) I test drove all had some puncture or rip on both B-pillars. It never occurred to me it could be the seat belt buckle. I always assumed some small dog was the culprit.

On the topic of odd defects, I also found it strange why some of the turn signal stalks had a crack. I mean, who is so hard on the stalk that the plastic cracks? Seen it on at least two 460s in person and a third online.

I have not seen the cracks on mine. Probably just someone in the past being to rough on them. Those old style pillars sure got some abuse either by the seat belt or just by a person getting in/out of the car.
