Help. Window/glass replacement
I got 07 ls460l someone decide to try break into my car. They mess up both of the pass windows but wasn't able to get in. Do anyone have instruction how to remove the glass. I'm attempting to replace it myself after I locate the glass. Thanks.

I wouldn't recommend doing that yourself. Do something wrong, window shatters, glass bits in door and every where else for that matter.
Claim comprehensive and get it professionally fixed.

May want to search, but I'm fairly certain we have "acoustic" glass. Not sure, but I would guess. My previous car had acoustic glass on front and sides.
I have never used safelite. But I would definitely try and get quality glass. I usually find Indy shops that offer really good OEM-type glass like ppg or plinkinton. Dealer OEM glass is preferable and will have the Lexus emblazoned on it, but it probably costs 4x as much.
Personally, I would try and insist on Lexus glass from your insurance company. It's comprehensive coverage. Tell them it's some snazzy, laminated "acoustic" glass and settle on nothing less. Contact the dealer and see who does their glass.
Good luck.

As an insurance agent, I typically don't suggest SafeLite as some of their installers have a tendency to be a little rough with vehicles in their care. I agree with Rhambler - stay on your agent to replace with Lexus glass.
Hate this for you. Good luck.

I looked at my windows and also looked more closely at your picture and we do indeed have acoustic, laminated glass. You can see the symbol.
Get OE replacement IMO.

I have used Safelite in Pasadena, CA for various replacements throughout my BMW ownership. The only issue I have ever encountered was when the installer cracked the windshield before it even placed on the car, no other issues. You'd be surprised how fragile/junky BMW glass is... YMMV.

Mine has laminated side glass. Many 07's got the laminated glass after complaining about wind noise. It was one of the fixes tried by Lexus.

It's don't hurt to try replacing the glass but it seems like a job for the pros.

You may be dealing with tolerance issues if you decide otherwise, and in comes road/wind noise and the possibility of sealing issues.
If you can, go OEM.

I was thinking the same, and secondly, I would absolutely only replace the glass with the glass that Lexus intended for the LS.

Agreed. Only go OEM.

Update. Thanks everyone for your inputs. I end up using Safelite. They got Oem glass. The guy who came out is very professional. Front and rear window took about an hour. I already removed my door panels for him due the sticky material still waiting on Lexus to replace dash/panel.
I've only own the car for a month now and this happen hopefully don't have to go thru it again. Just need to get the tint back on and she's normal again.
Anyone use smart start viper alarm system in their car? Does it alert you on the phone if the alarm goes off? Does the remote start stay on when you open the door?
