High Pressure Injectors and rail issue
I was replacing my heater exchanger "Valley Plate", while desconncting the high pressure injectore connectors 4 of them broke due to plastic beign britle, I went and blindly bought 8 BECK/ARNLEY injectors and installed them. However I did not know they have a spefic color connector. Question.
1. Does it matter the color of the connector ring (black, browm, yellow and green? does the car computer determents the timing of the injector ?
2. Ebay and amazon sells all 8 same color connector ring, what's the difference?
3. Does anyone knows the high pressure rail bolt torque specs?
Please help

You need specific injectors. Go to any Lexus parts site and get the OEM part number. Just because seller guarantees exact fit doesn't mean they will work. The car will likely throw codes. This is a complex car with multiple computers that often doesn't do well with aftermarket parts. Suggest either OEM or Denso. Maybe another member can suggest other brands that are known to be compatible, possibly Beck Arnley are fine in the right configuration. You may also potentially need Tech Stream software to initialize the injectors. I don't know for certain.

Most frequent combo is 4 black + 4 brown.
1. yes
2. chinese knockoffs
3. yes, but can't do now, may add later

Fuel injectors
Thank you for the advice,
I checked the old injectors and they all have a brown ring around the connector, I will torque the rail at 25 ft since I cannot find any information about this rail torque specs, and reassemble everything back. I’ll keep updating.

I hope 25 ft/lb didn't break anything. Let us know how the engine runs and if any lights or codes come up.

Those codes indicate cyl 5 and 7 misfires. It could be fuel, spark or a number of other reasons. Did you use the random injectors that you had purchased? What color band? How was the car running before you exchanged the valley plate? Not sure what you meant as valley plate is usually just resealed and not replaced due to it leaking coolant. What sealant did you use? Mileage and year? Please answer each of these questions as the answer to each matters.

Pole Position
Were the harness locking tabs on the connectors in good shape when you put things back together?
