Thank you Tom57 for the replied. I guess Slaurey01 replaced the tranny. I would like to replaced the solenoid my self. I already flushed my transmission and replaced the filter also. The P0753 error code went away for few days and then came back. So I would like to replace the solenoid. Although which solenoid is to replace?

There are 7 solenoids in the transmission. The mechanicals of a solenoid can get a burnt tarnish on the surface preventing it from operating smoothly. You will need more sophisticated equipment to identify which solenoid(s) need replacing. Perhaps try an indy trans shop to diagnose. What year and how many miles on your LS? It is not typical for the LS430 to have transmission solenoid problems.

The issue that Slaurey01 had, and that you may have, is that there may be multiple solenoids that are not functional (or soon will fail) - since all of the solenoids are exposed to the same environment inside the transmission. It could become cost-prohibitive to start replacing them vs. a used transmission replacement. (7 solenoids would cost over $2K.)

What year is your car? 430s have 2 different transmissions depending on the year.

As an aside, I havent driven my car for over a month due to the issue, which drained my battery.

Today I boosted it, no CEL, drove it hard on the highway for almost an hour, no CEL and no transmission issue. WTF.

Just chiming in here, I am having a very similar issue. Still diagnosing, though.

Transmission is going into Fail Safe mode. I took the car to my mechanic and they're recommending replacing the transmission.

I'm getting code P0751: Shift Solenoid "A" Performance Or Stuck Off.

Still considering my options, but wondering if anybody has tried a solution that doesn't include rebuilding or replacing the transmission.
