Default transmission help need- code P0753

I need help with trouble code P0753 for a 94 es300 transmission. I read a post a couple of days ago but now cannot find it. I think it will probably be better if I just start a new thread and check reply. I had the code pulled at Autozone tonight The code description is open or short circuit condition or Failed SSV SL1. Will I need to electrically test each solenoid to find the bad one or is SL1 the bad solenoid? Where can I get one without paying dealership price?

im having transmission problems as well but mine wont give me a CEL which is frustrating. atleast you have somewhere to start. looks like there isn't much support here on the ES side of the board.

Probably a shift solenoid is not working properly, or it could be an external electrical fault.

I still have not gotten around to repairing mine but if no code is given, try noting all the symtons and try troubleshooting from your list. Below is the list of problems I had with mine before finding the ode port and getting the cel code.
1. overdrive off light on dash blinking\
2. would not shift into low gear with shifter in drive or 2.
3. could manually shift in and out of low gear.
My best guess for your problem is a shift solenoid problem.

I looked on the door side panel and found the transmission type listed there. Using that info, I went to "cobra transmission" website and looked up the kit for my transmission. I recommend buying all the shift solenoids and the lock up solenoid and replacing them all at the same time. I think the price is right at $200 for all. Any good transmission shop can install them for you.

i tried doing a drop and fill. i used my compressor to blow it all out through the filler hole. i got alot of it out. i filled it back up with the toyota fluid and the noise wasn't there but it came back, just not as loud. i was able to drive it around with any issues. no jerking, no hard shifting. seems fine except for the buzzing. looks like im going to have to buy some solenoids. =/
