Thinking of selling my 04 ML. Any suggestions on price?
I am thinking about selling my 04 Flint Mica LS ML to upgrade to a newer LS460. The car has 85k miles and the timing belt service was recently done. It has Nav/ML and Xenon headlights. The car is pristine in and out and I have a stack of maintenance records from day 1. No accident history. Do you guys think that $11500 is a reasonable price?

Agree with all the responders.
I just purchased an 06 with the same features you describe, albeit with 15000 more miles.
When you sell and to help buyers like myself...
Promote the timing belt and service records.
Then the overall condition and hit them with the mileage last.
I certainly would have looked long and hard at your car!

if I were in your shoes, I would ask a bit more unless you're in a hurry to sell. You can always lower the price or negotiate with a buyer.
It's a desirable color, it has under 100k miles, and it just had the timing belt service done and you have all the service records.
I know in my experience, I'll pay over market price for a really nice, used car as it ends up being a lot cheaper than addressing a lot of issues.

I think it's reasonable, but human nature being what it is, set the price as mentioned to above what you want as far as your bottom line. I bought an '06 for $14,700, from a new car dealer. This came in handy because they ended up replacing the driver door actuator and front rotors/pads/sensor/bolts when I brought it back, so I was ok with buying from a new car dealer (also by law, 1 mo./1,000 mile warranty).

Remember, worth is subjective....if you traded it in, it would be worth significantly less than your number, but most of us here think it is worth what you're asking in a private party sale. For 10k or thereabouts, I'd rather keep the car and use it. What do you want to do with the proceeds, anyway? 10k doesn't go very far if you're looking to get another car, and if your car is pristine, seriously, I'd keep it....my .02.

I generally use the NADA site to get a baseline and then go from there.
For a private part sale, you should be able to get close to trade in... for your car that shows up to be about $13k due to the low miles for a clean car.
For an average car it's closer to $11k.
I'd say you'd have it priced right to sell quick, but could get more if you have some time. All about finding the right buyer with the money.
