2002 ls 430 headlamp bulb issue
After purchasing Phillips hid headlamp bulb d2r 85126c1 35w, from Rockauto, and installing them, one continues to fad out after a few minutes. Sadly, I didn't send in the warranty within the 30 days of purchase. The packaging does claim its xenon, so I'm wondering if others have used this bulb, or experienced the same.

The thought of this did cross my mind since these are 10+ y.o. cars.....how much, and how hard to replace a bulb? Let's assume the headlight AFS is it? doesn't fail.....
Now 3/4 cars in our household are xenons. On the BMW, the 2007 angel eyes are powered by a H8 halogen bulb. It has another H3 to power the cornering lamp, in addition to the actual headlamp which is active. A lot is going on in there. A hand CANNOT fit behind the headlamp....I got the H8 out in 2 min., and took 1 hour to get the new one in. Dropped the bulb into the housing, had to fish it out, and sliced up my hand. I hope Lexus designed ours better than that.....
