Hello ,Just returned from a nice trip form Niagara falls to Chicago, wouldn't drive another car (Beautiful) Anyways the car sat for about a week (rained everyday ) Started it up Sunday and screen reads External system not connected (everything worked fine before) a/c,heat, audio functions work on the screen but no Navi or Bluetooth . I went into the truck tried hitting the eject button (car running) Nothing , would not come out and I don't hear anything, no sound of a disc spinning!! I check all connections in the back and they secure . Does Anybody know what is going on here please??

Check for moisture, I had the same problem. Opened my unit and it had moisture inside.

did yours start working later after it dried out? I checked the compartment where the unit sits and it is all dry , I cant figure out why it wont come on , I was trying to disconnect the power on the back of it hoping that will reboot it but I cant get my hand back there to push on the clip and pull the plug out , Damm I miss my Bluetooth

May be condensation inside a wire harness connector ... with Illinois weather drying and cooling, it should dry out soon.

It's easier to get to the harness's by removing the two bolts on the brackets. Nope, I bought another one and that stopped working when I tried to eject the navigation disc. Smh

wow I hope you didn't pay too much , im going to get another I pulled out the old one and it looks fine I don't know why it doesn't work , is there a fuse for this thing ? also if I get another one how can I get the old disk out of the old one ?

Assuming the disc is not up to date anyway, if you do need a disk, just look for a Toyota GEN 4 dvd, they're about $13. That's what I just put in yesterday, and it's fine....said something like U30 (I did not think to take a pic of my disc)...

350.00, I bought an warranty but have to wait 30days before I can file a claim. What really sucks is that if you remove the unit the reverse camera doesn't work. I will be putting back the original when I send the new one off to be repaired.

now see that whats bothering me I don't think its a fuse , my back up camera ,radio ,heat controls, all work just the navi went out and the Bluetooth ??

My Bluetooth doesn't work either, must all be tied into the navigation box/player
