Upscale rivate sellers I would ask "what did the dealer offer ya" If they say they didn't fine but you will know if they are trumping up the price when they respond if ya know the market. If they tell ya the truth, especially if it has sat a while, you can gain an edge and bargain and still walk. I think I can read people when the answer me but who knows.
