Default Is this the original cladding color?

I just picked up another '99 (only 74K miles -- yay!) and I'm trying to figure out the color of the lower body cladding. The main car color is #057 Golden Pearl (off white) and one reference I found says the cladding color should be UCAA6. I had it at the dealer today, and the tech says he thought the '99 cladding for Golden Pearl was always that greenish-gold color and that this cladding is a color (more of a slivery-taupe) found on later models. I don't know, but one of you might. I see no evidence of repainting. Does this look like a '99 color to you? Thanks!

I'm not sure about the cladding, so I'll leave that to the experts.

I just wanted to say, I'm jealous!!

Thanks, Hypervish! My daughter's gold one is behind there; we got hers in about 2006, and I was keeping my eyes open for another one. They usually come and go through our Lexus dealer before I know about them, but I caught this one before it went through clean-up. It was a little old lady car with some surface dirt, but it was in nice shape and was maintained every 5000 miles. I lucked out. The worst thing about it is that I think the lady used to shut the seat belt in the door a lot. She may be clumsy, but she knew the importance of regular maintenance!

looks fine to me. Even if it was the 01-03 lighter colored cladding, that would be a good thing. I often look at mine and see the greenish tint in it and hate it.

I like the light color, too, but I wonder what the color code is?

Colors appear different on different screens and cameras may not capture true colors. To confirm the 99 Rx, with midnight pearl has a greenish hue .

Take the vin number to the dealer to confirm

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I know what that color looks like, and this is definitely not that. I'm headed to the dealer tomorrow; the body shop will know if that's the standard color or not.

Let me see if I posted it on here some time ago when I had my front bumper repainted...

EDIT: Just went through my old threads and here is the one when I repainted my front bumper before it was mine.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...nt-bumper.html

Lower cladding code for 99-00 is UCAA6

Like my photos, those look like they were taken late in the afternoon, so it's hard to tell the color for sure. That front shot sure looks like mine. Beautiful job painting, by the way!!
