I have a 2005 LS430 and is by far the best car I've owned. True luxury.

I hear the 2004-2006 LS430 are best Lexus built (ever?).

I would find a LS430 with less than 100,000 on the odometer and try to buy from a one owner. There are some really good cars that are listed in the classified section on this forum .

steelers6: Look for a post called "How many miles do YOU have on your LS430 (the mother thread)", which is about halfway down page 3 of this forum as I write this. A good scan of that thread should give you all the assurance you need to jump in.

I've owned three of these cars now, and they are the best vehicles I've ever owned -- by far. The 2001 I just sold at 194K miles was driven from St. Paul to Fort Myers over the last two days -- it ran perfectly and delivered 26 MPG at average speed of about 80 MPH.

The ls430 is one of the best made cars of all time in my option and according to Forbes. If you just maintain your vehicle and dont drive like the duke boys you should get many many miles out of one of you choose to purchase.

I bought mine a year ago with 107,000 on the odometer from a Lexus dealer. So far I have had no problems with it.

Its so weird to have so many great reviews on this particular vehicle, from what ive been reading most owners of the LS430 say its just a better overall car than the older model LS460L,now ive driven the 2008 460L and i think its a great vehicle,i no doubt have to drive a LS430 just to see how great it really is...

I would choose the ls430 hands down they are "over engineered" if that makes any sense. Also the 07-08 ls460 is a new model and when a new model of any car comes out avoid it because they still have not worked the kinks and flaws.

We have both.... I prefer the LS430 (even though they are 13 years apart).... Easier to drive, not as many distractions, and plenty fast enough. Maybe the 460 corners a bit better when in "Sport" mode but that is about it for me.....

Absolutely over-engineered. It's continually voted as one of the best buys/most reliable in the used Luxury car market by a number of different websites.
