Default lowering car

I am still pursuing lowering the car with airsuspension
On the forum I read somebody lowered the car by reducing the length of a certain rod at the front. Does somebody have a diagram of where this rod is located (maybe a partnumber).
Rather than cutting it as the member did, maybe a machineshop can fabricate a complete shorter rod with the two opposite threats.
Would the shorter rod impact the ride and especially the airbags?
I like to lower the front ca 2"

Purchasing the controller would be the easiest solution. You can drop it about 2 inches by adjusting the height sensors without modifying anything. Be warned, you will most likely ruin the stock air-shocks by modifying the system. Yes it will impact the ride. Any kind of lowering impacts the ride.

Default lowering car

ok, I guess the ride quality will override the lowering idea.
Should the air system fail I still can go the other route
I guess its a matter of getting used to it. Fortunately the car is black; with the black tires and the black inner fender it is not so noticable
