Hey all!

New member here. I joined up to try to have a place to go for support when addressing my dad's car. '03 LS430. It has approx. 212k mi, and is a beaten and abused workhorse that still runs like a top! I'm hoping to slowly tend to a few items to not have a negative balance in the event of a "trade-in" with a dealer on his replacement vehicle (rapidly approaching)

All that said, here is my issue currently. I followed the write up about fixing the center console (re-torqueing) by tightening the screws inside the lid. Worked great. But the car also has broken air vents that reside in the rear of the center console lid. I removed the piece, but am really struggling to find an applicable part number to search for a replacement. I tried calling the local lexus parts dept. but got a voicemail box and no return call. I HAVE tried searching on the forum, but have clearly had no luck.

Ideally a p/n, but if someone more frequent to happenings here has come across a thread, a point in the right direction would be fruitful.

Not a typical replacement part. Given the age of the car, I strongly suggest that you check recyclers (including on eBay) for this part. New part will cost too much given what you are doing to fix it up to trade it in. You can obtain part number (that may help in your search with used parts recyclers) from places online that have parts diagrams, like Lexus of South Atlanta Parts. http://www.lexussouthatlantaparts.com/ Or contact parts dealers who are CL sponsors here.

Welcome. If google used Lexus parts, you'll get a variety of places that may have the part you're looking for. I saved $600 on my 430 when I had to replace the side view mirror. Couldn't tell you who I used as it's been years, but it was a top notch very clean mirror kit.

Good luck.

Thanks for such quick responses. I kinda feel sheepish because I totally overlooked the correct diagram in previous search attempts! For others who may end up needing to find this same part, P/N, it is:

REGISTER ASSEMBLY, CONSOLE BOX stock code 5886050030, P/N 58860A
http://www.lexussouthatlantaparts.co...886050030.html

My next conundrum is that, it doesn't appear to be readily available on the secondary market, and I cannot post in the for sale/wtb thread yet! I have pm'd a member who incorrectly posted about parting out his LS430, but have yet to hear back from him. I'll update once part is located!

Thanks again
