I'm 25 with a perfect record and my insurance is $136 a month for my 2005 Lexus LS430 UL through State Farm.
It's the cheapest insurance I could find. Everyone else wants $200+ a month just for my LS. The only downside is my agent never answers the phone and my windshield got a bad crack recently. It's like the complete opposite of those State Farm commercials.

For Canadians: If you are affiliated with a provincial engineering body, check out TD Meloche Monnex with the professional engineers' group plan. Bundle with home insurance and ask for some loyalty discounts, and it's the lowest rate around ($1000CAD/yr, $1000 deductible for both collision and comprehensive coverage, all extra benefits/coverage).
State Farm without a group plan had the second best rates, they were $1356CAD/yr.

Howdy,
I've been thinking about selling my car for something cheaper, and just playing around with insurance quotes from Geico (I'm a <25 year old unmarried male without traffic citations) and I noticed that nearly every single car I was interested in had more expensive insurance.
A 2005 Prius would be more expensive, a 2001 Camry would be more expensive, and of course a Honda Civic Si and Subaru BRZ would be more expensive. The only vehicle I found that was cheaper to insure was a Toyota Sequoia (too bad I hate paying for gas, thusly hate SUVs)
So I was curious what others' experiences are finding insurance for the LS430? Was your insurance unexpectedly cheap?

Every State, City, and even area are going to have different types of rates. Sometimes the rates make sense, other times I sit and scratch my head trying to understand why a 2014 Toyota Avalon costs $2500+ annually to insure. Shop around, but make sure you have the proper coverage. Your agent/broker should go through those with you to make sure you don't lose your pants in the event of an accident.
