Front Bumper Parking Assist Sensors LS430
Middle senor(s) started beeping when coming to a stop even with no vehicles in front. Finally just kept on beeping continually when vehicle stopped and in gear.
This just started to happen a few days after having driven the car in a very heavy rain storm for several hours at about 55-60 mph. Prior to this I never had any problems.
Thinking the issue was possibly moisture related, I sprayed the two middle park assist sensors on the front bumper with a small amount of some good old WD 40 and let it sit for a couple of hours.
Then started the car and took it for a short drive.Problem solved!!
No extraneous beeping and the sensors are now working the way they should.

I had a similar issue a few weeks ago after a long highway trip. I noticed that the front of my bumper had a lot of dead bugs on it so I assumed that a bug became stuck in the sensor. The problem went away after a good car wash!
