I think those are two completely independent systems. However, they both are likely affected by your climate conditions. I seem to recall that the wheel speed sensor alone can be replaced, or the whole bearing assembly with integrated speed sensor. I've only replaced the entire bearing assembly.
For the headlight levelling I guess I'll have a look when I do the wheel hub. I know we get harsh winters - this one has been particularly bad - with lots of salt so the climate it probably the source. It sucks because these sensors seem to be fairly expensive and I would just assume do without them. I heard you can pull the fuse to disable it.
I'll update you with how I resolve these problems. Hopefully it can be a cheap solution.

There is a FAQ on CL here if you've never done the wheel bearing. Here it is:

A bad speed sensor will throw ABS and/or VSC codes. A bad wheel bearing you'll only hear it. Good luck with your repairs.

For the headlight levelling sensor, I came across this in a Toyota Prius chatroom:
http://www.sector13.org/jason/prius/...ghtsensor.html
The sensor assembly looks similar to that of the LS. I haven't seen the sensor yet, but I'm wondering if it's the same - or at least similar.
Think the Prius guys of 2004-2005 have a lot of trouble with these sensors as they aren't sealed well. Water leaks in and corrodes the springs.
When my parts come in, I'll check the linkage first and then if that's okay I'll open it up and see if I can see the same thing. I can do a walkthru for other interested people. Fun!

The sensor looks similar to the Prius - same electro-mechanical function. I did not try to take my old one apart. As mentioned above, like the Prius thread, I did lube the new one to try and staunch the condition from recurring due to harsh weather conditions. Be sure you note/mark where the linkage arm is bolted since the arm on the sensor has an adjustable location which affects how the sensor aims the headlights.
