2003 IS300 Sportcross headlight leveling system warning light is lit all the time. (Car is in excellent condition with 46K miles.)
Dealer says the left headlight level sensor is "seized" and should be replaced at cost of $614. Despite this, car passed Virginia State safety inspection today.
Would greatly appreciate any comments/suggestions. Thanks.

 

i too have Automatic Headlight Leveling System on my ES300 and would hate it to pay $614..eeek

 

Not sure about IS300 but my LS430 has a little leveling motor. See if you can find one and change it.

 

Might want to look for a whole headlight assembly online. Either new or from a totaled car. It would be slightly less expensive to do it yourself. The motors are found within the assembly themselves along with the ballast.
