Finally bought my first Lexus: 05 ls430
After months of browsing the forum and research I finally pulled the trigger on a black on black 2005 premium package that was a 1 owner with 66k miles. Lexus owners site confirmed all service records since New up to 65k right before I purchased her.
Coming from driving a civic beater and a gsxr 1000 everyday the last few years this was a huge improvement to say the least. Car feels like a tank and the ride is so smooth you feel nothing from the roads. Interior feels amazing and super comfortable like a recliner in your living room. Love the oscillating vents and rear shade.
Car feels and looks new. Only issues I've found are the tilt steering for up/down seems to be dying so a motor replacement under there is due soon. And the 3m clearbra is showing some age on the front end.
Only mods I can find are a Parrot Bluetooth module and k40 radar remote system which I'm figuring how to work and hope everything is there.
Looking forward to learning from everyone. Will try to get pics up asap

Thanks guys. I love the car more everydAy not sure you could pick a better daily driver except for the 16mpg average around town lol. I should have got one years ago!
Finding the lexus dealer installed k40 calibre system was pretty neat and seems to be working great once I found the remote. this was almost a 2k dollar option and its completely hidden.
Got to get the Windows tinted and get some pics up once weather cooperates

I just went from an Accord to an 04 LS 430 on October 1st.
Agreed...the comfort differences are profound. But the quietness of the cabin is what is truly astounding.
When I went to sell the Accord and let people test drive it, I was afraid they'd comment about how loud the interior is. No one did, because the Accord road noise was normal for an accord. It sounded like a tank to my ears. I guess I have been rapidly spoiled by the 430.
Sounds like an excellent car. I know you will love it.

Re: gas mileage, are you driving her hard? 16 is low. With normal use you should be averaging 18-20. I drive all city, but with a 7-8 minute jaunt on the interstate almost daily and like clockwork average about 19.3 MPG.

I drive the car like a grandma and barely sees over 2k rpm on my normal routes. 16.8mpg has been average on the display. Might be because my driving has all been short 2-5 mile trips with no highway yet to stretch its legs. Still on my first tank of premium. How many miles are you guys getting to a full tank? Think my range was 350?

Drive her with another tank or two and keep us posted. I get about 400 miles per tank, with about a gallon left In there when I fill up.
