Default 06 ls430 dash and steering control buttons

Unusual problem has recently started. I keep hearing an intermittent beep ( the same sound that occurs when dash buttons depressed for audio/climate etc) When this is occurring, the control buutons for audio/climate/options on dash as well as steering wheel buttons for radio control are non responsive. Intermittently they will work or at first startup before the beeping starts thay will work. The button for map destination remains functional throughout.
I was considering a hard reboot by disconnect/reconnect battery.Any other ideas to troubleshoot?

The problem is coming from the electronic board right behind the steering wheel. It looks like a circular plate with lots of wires.
Sometimes the honk won't work also, it all depends on what cables are damaged inside this circular shaped board.
Just get a new one, if you have experience with taking things apart, you can do it yourself.
I believe it costed me around 150-200$.
Good luck.

Are you referring to the Clock Spring assembly?
When yours gave you peroblems did it also affect the dash buttons for menu/option/climate etc? Did it also give the intermittent beeping symptom?

I'm not sure if it is called "Clock Spring Assembly".

It never had anything to do with the climate button.

But it did give the beeping noise at certain times.

Again, it all depends on what wires have been damaged on this part I'm talking about. Some people only face the beeping problem, and some only lose the honk.
Because it is all down to wires have been damaged.
