Hello all. I'm totally a newbie to this forum. I found you guys by accident when looking for a question about my soon to be LS430. Now I'm thrilled to be a part of this family and look forward to learning a lot.
I chose this thread based on the topic. I just bought an 05 black/tan LS430. It has 34,700 miles. Has everything but the UL. I got it for $30,500 & I fly into Dallas tomorrow to pick it up. I'm thinking that's a decent deal (I hope it is). This will be my 3rd Lexus. My first was a red 92 ES300, and for the last 10 years I've driven a black 94 LS400 (now with 140,000 miles) which I love! I am selling it to a good friend who has been drooling over it for years.
There are great deals to be had. You just to have patience and time. I had been looking for months & was rejected on a few deals before I found this one. I hope I will love it as much as my 400.
I'll search around the forum before I post my original question about the navigation.

Good luck. Are you getting this from ace imports. I considered this one but went with CPO. Although mine has 10k more miles but being CPO is peace of mind. Also you get 3 yr / 10000 miles warranty with 3.9 apr.

Funny how everyone puts so much stock in CPO. If Lexus' weren't so reliable, I would have never bought one. I have had a camry for 11 years and NEVER had an issue. I had another LS and now own a 2004, all without incident. CPO is a ripoff to give people peace of mind on a car that should ALREADY be reliable. Lexus' Unique selling proposition is reliability. If a Lexus isn't reliable for 10 years then SHAME ON LEXUS for selling it to begin with and advertising it as being "bulletproof".
I mean c'mon. Even Hyundai has a 10 year warranty. And we are going to PAY lexus for the priviledge of owning a car that is supposed to be reliable, but is not reliable enough for us to trust it without CPO?
