Question stock rear brakes on 90 LS

Inspecting my brakes this past weekend, I discovered that something is amiss with my passenger side rear brakes. The inner pad was a b@#$! to get in and out. I inspected the contact points and slides of the caliper bracket and pad and lubricated everything generously with silicon brake lubricant, but it's still a struggle to seat and remove (needless to say, the small spring clip is definitely not able to back the pad off the rotor). It would be an understatement to say it could not be removed by hand. I had no such problem with the driver side, or any other corner for that matter.

Either the pad or the bracket is misshapen, right? There can't be any other possibility, right? Visually, I just couldn't see any flaws or problems with either piece...

Ideas? Suggestions? Thanks,
Mike
