Sun visor - vanity mirror lighting 1995-2000 ls400
Anyone changed the lightbulb(s) in the sun visor vanity mirror lighting?
What is best procedure and tool for removing the lense cover?
Same issue as with other interior lighting; hotspots and uniformity.....will be applying high temperature outdoor rated foil tape to the back relecting surface demonstrating improvement in other interior lighting assemblies posted on this forum.
Thanks. The passenger sun visor shown open....for incandescent, here the lighting is quite good, however, head on there is an uncomfortable glaring hot spot and lack of uniformity...to my eye the sides, and especially the corners appear dim....so room for improvement....in fact...I probably would be inclined to use relecting foil on the back of the open plastic lid...not sure if the tape roll width is adequate (to avoid overlapping pieces) ...application would have to be perfect to look OEM.. may experiment with scotch taping a few pieces in place to see if this yields improvement or not. Definitely would have to remove visor to do.
