Default Passenger side mirror disassembly

Hello,
I have a chipped off place on the exterior and interior molding pieces for the passenger side mirror of my 2014 ES350. The mirror itself is okay and everything (blind side detection, signal, motion and puddle light) are working properly. Is it possible to remove and replace the exterior and interior housings without having to take the mirror off the car? I would like to avoid having to remove the door panel if at all possible. I am including a couple of photos of my problem. Thanks!

ouch, that hurts to see.

i did a quick search for a 2013 es, not sure if this is the part for yours:

https://parts.lexus.com/p/Lexus_2013...1A76070A0.html

and in case you need other parts, look at full size of this image and it lists every part number:

https://parts.lexus.com/a/Lexus_2013...2490-8701.html

hope this helps, good luck

EDIT: the first link is for a starfire painted one, please do note that these come painted (make sure you get it for the right paint code for your car).

Thanks for the tip on the paint. Before I try to do this repair myself I need to know if I can get it done without having to remove the door trim and then the mirror itself. I don’t have any confidence in doing that and not opening up a huge can of worms. :-)

The painted top part can be replaced without having the mirror removed from the door but the black plastic part I think you might have to.

I used this video as a reference
