Default 1991 ls400 CV boot torn

So I just picked up my first ls400, 174k miles, and the rear passenger side outer CV boot is torn and leaking grease. I did some research on replacing and resealing the boot, but decided to go for replacing both rear axles as a precautionary measure.

What my question is are axle shaft replacements just an in and out procedure, or would I have to replace any bearings or anything like that along the way? Also, anything I should take care of while I'm down there with my axles out? Some of the suspension looks like it could use some fresh bushings or just upgraded in general. Any input would be appreciated!

Here is a picture of her in my garage now

Thanks,
Tom
