Default 94 LS400 Knocking noise

I need some help I drove my car today parked it no issues when I came back to turn it on I heard a rhythmic knocking from what seems to be kinds behind the dash near the air vents when I turn the key just to get power I hear it but I was able to drive it home and park it not seeing any lights come on or temp issues I recorded a video to see if anybody might have an Ideal

Sounds like a gear slipping for a stepper motor that actuates the airflow valves. I think they try to do a home position at start up, not real sure though.

I'm talking about the heater/airconditioner system has servos to control air flow. And I'd rather do a transmission than remove the dash and fool with all that stuff. Its very intensive if that has to be done.

a mechanic buddy suggested Sounds like an actuator in the dash it that closes doors on your heat and air vents so IDK how easy it would be to fix if anybody has suggestions

HVAC, maybe if you pull the radio out you can get to it.

Determine about where the noise is coming from. Run the diagnostics for the climate control system and when it runs the particular servo and it makes noise you would then know which one it is. Then the dash remove all starts so it can be accessed. I can't see a shop doing the job for much less than the total cost of the car.
I would guess $1500 to $2000 or so. Its as major as an engine removal to do that job.
