Engine light & clicking noise
The engine light came on yesterday as well as traction control turned to off. It was the first time I've driven my 91 LS400 (145,000 miles) with the window down and I heard fast, continuous clicking noise when the car accelerated from standing still. I then drove my car to the Lexus dealer, and now waiting for their call to tell me what's wrong.
My guess is that a sensor stops working for the engine light to come on. Regarding the clicking noise, I hope something to do with valve lash adjustment, not worn out crankshaft bearings.
Anyone experienced this kind of problem before ?
Thanks,

I got my car fixed at Lexus dealer.
What happened was that a piece of rubber gasket from the timing belt cover felt into the timing belt housing when I replaced the ignition rotors last week and it made the timing belt skip. The timing belt wasn't damaged but I replaced it anyway at the cost of Can $450 - an expensive mistake on my part.
And the noise; it comes from a broken EGR pipe, which is at the back of the engine and difficult to replace, that's why it costs Can $550 both part and labor. What a delight to drive the car now without that noise, but I'm more than $1K poorer.
