Attached is Part Number / Description for Strut Bar Assemblies received today for 1998 LS400. These show the same for 1995 LS400. The Strut Bar Cushions show as 48674-50051 on Lexus of South Atlanta Lexus website.

The last three items relate to ball joints...suggest replacing at this time if originals.

If replacing bushings only, instead of the the entire assembly, then be sure to mind the index tab on the bushing as per (1998) Lexus Shop Manual instructions for Front Strut Bar replacement...perhaps different on 1995...

If having a shop perform the work, consider the labor savings by ordering the entire strut bar assembly...

DO NOT use non-OEM parts.

Prepare for an alignment...matchmarking the cam adjustment bolt and expecting correct alignment after replacing worn suspension bushings is not practical.

Further, when the strut bar bushing end cam bolt is torqued to 134 ft-lb, be sure the suspension is compressed to normal ride height...OTHERWISE you or your mechanic are torquing the bolts with the suspension at the extreme lower range of travel capturing the rubber bushings in place at that angle, with twisting and or tearing when the weight of the car is placed on them and, or, as the suspension travels towards its upper range.

Possibly this causes increases more resistance in upward suspension than downward suspension travel, so the car does not sit correctly or the ride feels harsh...

I offer that comment for certain other suspension bushings as well.

Increased difficulty, but improved results.

Torque specs for Strut Bar fasteners.

This is for 1998 LS400. ..verify P.N.s for your 1995...they ARE available....
