Turns over but will not fire!
My 93 LS just got a new timing belt plugs, plug wires, starter. It refuses to fire. I have spark to the plugs and fuel to the throttle body. Will a Lexus that is 180 degrees out of time not fire? This was my first thought of what could possibly be wrong.

I have a few questions.
How did it get the timing belt, Like who did it?
Do 94's have a throttle body injection system rather than individual port injection like the earlier models do?
As long as nothing was moved when the old t belt came off and the new went on then it should be in time.
Did it run before the T belt was changed?

Now my question is how do I reset the Check Engine Light?
Do I do the jumper of TE1 and E1 with a paper clip?

Okay so I now have the engine back in time and with a complete tune up and new water pump and timing belt throttle body cleaning, this LS runs so sweet!! Now how do I clear the check engine light and trac contrl light?

Glad it's running. You can clear the codes by pulling the EFI fuse or disconnecting the battery for a twenty minutes. If the codes come back, please post them.

Any quality scan tool can do Obd1, but you don't need one to just read codes and to erase them. Go to that site I linked to above. It tells how to read the codes on obd1 ls400's and how to erase them too.

I've got another question my 70,000 mile 93 LS It has some clunking noises going on in the front suspension. I have replaced lower B.J's but wonder also if the strut towers were the bearing packs sit are bad because this clunks seems to be much more previlent when turning the steering wheel. Also this old girl wants to lean to the point of being just to much in the turns at reasonable speeds.
