So far
I replaced the engine coolant temp sensor and still kept getting the coolant sensor code. I traced the wiring back to the ECU and all good, continuity and no shorts. I then figured the ECU misinterpreting the fault pointed to it. Found 3 leaking capacitors. Hopefully the damage to the board isn't enough to be an issue. Will order a kit and get past this point. Thanks for everyones input.

Update
Ok, finally got the new capacitors soldered into the ECU. All code are gone, idles steady, still puffing a little smoke but I think it is residual gas in the pipes. Finished pretty late so will back it out tomorrow and see how it runs.

Still have smoke
I have no smoke until idle gets to around 800rpm, after that I have smoke. Still appears to be white in my eyes. No signs of oil contamination. I still haven't done a leak down test but that will be next.

My bet is your pulling power steering fluid in due to the power steering valve. If you have no signs of a head gasket leak then the power steering fluid is the next culprit.

Ok. I plugged the vacuum lines to see what happens. Same result. But, I told the owner to go drive it. I believe it boiled down to the ECU, re-learning the engine conditions after replacing the capacitors. I'd like to thank everyone for your input on this problem. A good education for me and a happy neighbour lady able to drive her baby again.
