Welcome to Club Lexus.

Transponder chipped LS400's will only crank if the key is not recognized. There's something else happening, any codes?

It looks like you can start the car within 5 seconds of the master key with any other key that will turn the ignition. Once the 5 seconds laps after is removed, only programmed keys will start the vehicle.

I have removed the chip from key, is there a way to test if the chip works?
I have tried to programmed this over a hu dred times already, it still does not want to work.

I'm too busy working on this wonderful car. I have power door lock actuators which are giving me fits, and this morning the car starts but will not idle.2005 LS 430 ran great yesterday today no deal.
