Exhaust pipe
First off year if car is a 98 ls400 and was wondering is it possible to get the exhaust pipes after the catalytic converter push/weld it up a but higher? I can do so near the axle back but from the cat converter back can't much due to how the two converter are bolted going downward. I wanna push the pipe up some more if can so wont scrape my pipe much more since its cutting through it causing exhaust leak already. Wanna push it up more then make a skid plate after

If you don't wanna touch the cats you can do what I did which is have them cut the old piping off at the flange where it meets the cats and run new piping at an angle directly off it so that it clears a little better. I gained about 3/8"-1/2" this way.
Mind you, that only works when the rest of your exhaust is already new or getting replaced at the same time, won't be very useful if your rear/mid is all OEM piping.
