Sun Roof Wont Open
Ive searched but came up with nothing for the 1st Gen LS. My problem started right after paint when I noticed the sun roof would have trouble popping up but not sliding back. Tilt wouldnt go up but will open all the way. Then It would only tilt but not go back and open. And Slowly the switch wouldnt open it until I pulled back on the "open sun roof" button about 30 times in about a minute or two and would then maybe sometimes open. Now not at all.... I dont believe its stuck I think its either the switch or the motor is bad. Any personal experiences with this/ common known issues and how was this fixed? Thanks alot in advanced... Im in SD and I need my sun roof open specially during the summer with this perfect weather.

check your battery connection and voltage. Then i would suggest going through the following
A. Tail light control relay
B. Power Window
C. Defogger relay
D. Fog Light Relay
E. Turn Signal Relay
F. Integration Relay

Are your rear windows working? There is a 30A breaker in the cabin fuse box which supplies the Moonroof power, check to see if this has tripped.
The Moonroof ECU is located in the switch panel, connector pin 6 a blue wire should have 12 volts present with the ignition on.
Was the Moon roof left open when the paint was done? There are 2 limiter switches in there which may have been contaminated.

My rear right window goes down on drivers door wont go up but the switch on the rear right works both up and down but i figured its just the drivers control panel for that switch is busted. Not sure if that would matter but thats the only other problem that Ive hade as of maybe a little bit before my sun roof completely stopped working. But I will take a look at those relays

Sunroof question on LS400
Hi. I have the same problem with mine. It is a 1992 Lexus LS400. It won't open at all. Before... if I hit the open button for like 3-5 minutes it would open and will take a while to close. Now...it won't open at all. What was the problem with yours? How did you fix it? Thanks
