Second gen

Daily driver

Had a '99 Accord EX-L V6 and my brother was about to turn 16 (back in '07) and was looking for a car. An older man came in to the Wal-Mart where I was working to print photos of his '97 LS400 to put in the Trader. I jokingly said I'd ask around to see if anyone was interested. Turns out the guy was best friends with my grandparents, so I test drove the car the next day and bought it the following day. Didn't start modding it for a few more years (budget), and while I'd like to continue modding it, maintenance comes first and the timing belt/water pump is almost due. Other than that basic maintenance, it's been a largely trouble free car and I'd hate to get rid of it.

Ironic part is, I had mocked a friend of mine (a year older) for years about his love affair with "old man" cars (his being the Deville/Town Car), and here I was, driving an LS400.

23 years young, 24 in march.

2000 UCF20

daily driver

Ive always been a long time fan of the LS400, and I found the UFC10/20 to have the timeless look that never really aged. Especially the 98-00.

1997 LS (2LS)

she is daily driven. loved the LS when i first saw member genetic with his in person which is why i got a 2LS instead of a 2.5LS. i'm actually building my car very similar in style to his; simple, elegant yet functional for everyday use. always been a fan of early model toyota/lexus where they were still boxy. the LS drew my attention due to the amount of japanese engineering put into it (of that time). build quality, performance, simple looks, the flagship of toyota/lexus, now very affordable, had to have it!

i come from a honda background, and still own the car i took my license test in back in 1997 when i was 16; my 92 honda accord coupe. she is now my track car so i needed a daily driver to putt around in hence the LS. leather, V8, automatic, plush ride, the complete opposite of the accord!

i recently picked up a tacoma for utility so been driving her in the mean time while the LS is down for the air ride install. funny is that the truck (xtra cab 4cyl non-prerunner) has worse MPG (18) than the LS but at least doesn't require premium fuel.

Age Answered before...23.5

Daily/Show

Why the LS? BECAUSE ITS A GREAT and SEXY @$$ *^$^&@!#$ CAR!!!!!!!

PS amazing to see that most owners of LS's are us youngins. I wonder how the polls would compare to those of GS, IS, & SCs.

23 going on 40. lol

When I first got my car everybody was saying how ugly it is, and how it looks like a grandpa car. Now after doing a few things to it, and showing how well it does donuts they all love it too! Come on tax money! Those coils can't get here fast enough! lol
