Hey folks, I've got an annoying issue with my Nakamichi head unit in my 99 LS400. When I go to adjust the volume (up or down) the volume with jump up really load for a second then go back down.
There is a little play in the ****, is that the cause? How can I fix this?

It sounds like the volume control has a "noisy track" other than replacing the control,if still available you could try removing the **** and then squirting some switch cleaner down the shaft and giving it a few turns to see if it cleans the track.
An electronics shop should sell the cleaner.

Mine does the same thing... But it doesn't bother me much though...
