best year motor to put into my 93
I want to start building a motor on the side so I am wondering what would be the best year engine to drop in, I know that the newer engines Have vv-ti and that they are interference motors but would it be worth converting it to put a newer engine in?

pre 95 have stronger bottom ends, 98-00 have the best flowing heads.
only way you're going to run any 98+ heads is if you either go full standalone or convert the entire engine harness+ecu+half the chassis harness to the 98+ harness.
for a mild build, stick to a 93/94 as the electronics will interchange.
