rattle in dash
Hi, this is my first post here, so maybe I'm gonna introduce myself a little.
My name is George, from Madison, WI. I traded in a "full-of-squeaking-rattle" '00 Acura TL for an LS430 last May.
I'm hearing some constant soft rattles from somewhere inside/behind the speedometer/instrument panel and steering wheel. My car has almost 6k miles now, but I VERY rarely drive my car hard. Does anybody else have the same problem ?
Also, I bought the car from Woodsfield Lexus in Chicago, IL. Would the Lexus dealership here in Madison inspect/fix the rattle for free ?
Thanks for any input.

You will have to tell them the details and conditions, when and where, speed, any specific location( uphill or downhill, heavy accel or decel, cruising..) all these will help them to fix your problem. Yes, your car still under warranty and it doesn't matter where you've bought it. But please be more specific about your problem and take a note, so the advisor or the tech can figure it out easier.
When the noise occurs can you put your hand and press on , and see if the noise goes away. All of this will help them to fix the problem. There's a TSB on the earier 01 LS with the noise behind the instrument cluster, but they have to remove the dash out and to do that it may created more noise after that. I don't want to go that route. Good Luck.
